Intimate waxing , also know as Extreme waxing, is the name termed for the removal of hair in the pubic area. There are 2 different names for the treatments used at Orchid Therapies; the Brazilian and the Hollywood. The Brazilian wax leaves a "landing strip" on the pubic mound and the Hollywood wax removes all of the hair in the pubic area. Both treatments remove hair at the back too.
Hot wax is used to remove the hair as this is generally less painful in delicate areas as the wax is specifically designed for the removal of coarser, thicker hair. The flexible wax is applied with a spatula, left to set until ready for removal by hand. No fabric or paper strips are used when using hot wax. Regular waxing will make the hair grow finer, more tapered and eventually the hair will reach the same stage in the hair growth cycle, meaning you should be able to go for longer between waxing appointments.
Intimate waxing is a very popular treatment and my clients have dubbed me the best intimate waxer in Bournemouth! Why? Probably because I use top quality waxes, clients are pleased with the results and they trust me!
The waxing process is really not as painful or scary as you might think it is. If your pain threshold is low, it may be advisable to take some painkillers before your appointment. Client feedback on intimate waxing at Orchid Therapies has all been positive and people are pleasantly surprised about how painless the experience was. Yes really!
Training in intimate waxing for ladies was provided by Kim Lawless, dubbed the UK's Wax Queen and for the male intimate waxing, Andy Rouillard, the country's leading waxpert in male waxing. It is essential that waxing therapists are properly trained as intimate waxing is a specialist area.
